Exploring Minecraft's most GLITCHED biome...

For those who don't know, the Farlands are a crazy phenomena in Minecraft that spawn 12550821 blocks away from spawn, and they just keep extending. But what most people don't know, is that they aren't infinite! So today, I'm checking out the Farther Lands, which usually is an INSANELY GLITCHED stretch of land which you'd never, ever see in regular gameplay. As you probably can expect, everything gets super buggy, introducing us to some mobs which barely function like normal and some really unnatural terrain generation.
I'm able to stand there because I'm using the Farlands mod for 1.17, which reenables the terrain generation. Normally, this would hurt your eyes to look at.

Nerd ramblings:
There are actually different types of farther lands, the stuff you see here is what I've seen shown off most on youtube. But there's one with a very pixellated look, like small chunks have been cut out of the world, and one that looks like totally normal terrain with no lighting issues. I wish you could see! A few more billions of blocks out, more stuff happens, but I can't get that far...

The farlands in bedrock is when everything stops being animated (and freezes sometimes) and walking is very stuttery. The fatherland are oceans with stripes of nothing, where one block looks like two.

@@theradiantbeast3478 oh yeah for sure, especially when I'm thinking about that type of fear the first thing I usually think about is subnautica, since in a lot of the earlier versions of subnautica and even subnautica below zero there were a lot of unfinished places that because of curiosity I would go to and then just clip through the map or in the lava zone clip through the map and it always terrified me.

I think at one point there was a similar glitch that people called the Stacklands for it was just terrain stacked on terrain stacked on terrain, like just surface but stacked on itself. Don't remember when that was discovered...

There is actually a fartherlands in the end dimension too. I was playing in creative mode and just decided "I wonder how far out I can teleport" and just added a 0 each time. And one of them sorta failed. I couldn't walk. Blocks were stretched to 1.5 by 1 by 1. And there were entire rows of empty air. You could use enderpearls to keep pushing it further and they flew in really weird ways. And the sounds in the game kept freaking out making awful noises. (This was done on Xbox One. During the 1.18 update Idk if this exists in the other versions) but I'd recommend trying it out if you want to be genuinely confused and scared

I’ve been to the farther lands before, in bedrock, it didn’t cause much lag but I could only move up and down and back and forth on one axis. The blocks were all stretched and there were rows of just nothing. I think the only reason my pc could handle it is because I used teleport commands to get there instead of walking/flying.
