IMPORTANT TIPS BELOW
Be AWARE: the ride towards La Gloria is not for the faint of heart, definitely check out our drone footage before deciding to decent this rough and dangerous road!
But if you want the REAL adventure, Grutas Tolantongo is the place to be. The park itself is so huge, that we would recommend you to park the car there (walking is quite far and uneventful) At this side of the park, you have the gorgeous Pozas Termales that look over the beautiful mountains, but also hanging bridges and walking paths everywhere. There are hot caves to discover and waterfalls to swim under and don't forget the Rio Calientes.
TIP: 3 days is definitely a minimum to visit and we recommend you to avoid the weekends and holidays. Park the car at the Tolantongo side and walk towards La gloria (if you want to visit that side) Bring a lot of cash!

Great place. I've been all over Mexico, mostly by motorcycle or bus, and have never heard of these pools.

Another KZbinr said there's transport that you could have taken from the cave to where the pools are, instead of walking 1 hour up the road.

How far is the walk from La Gloria over to Tolantonga? Thx

There is only a small bridge separating the two parks, so technically the transition is instant. But Tolantongo is MASSIVE and would probably take 30 minutes to walk from la gloria all the way to the pozas which is one of the most interesting places.
