Exploring Northeast Tennessee | Season 1 | AWOL: Air Water Or Land

Angel visits Northeast Tennessee, a region packed with outdoor adventures, thriving downtown's and urban outdoor meccas you can experience on bikes, by foot, or by boat. Along the way, Angel meets with passionate locals who share with him their stories and love for the outdoors. He even tells a story of his own of his newfound love for this patch of Appalachian.
While visiting this region of East Tennessee, Angel takes on wilderness survival with the team at NOLI, rafting on the Nolichucky River with USA Raft, speaks to local guide and outfitter owner about keeping the now wild and scenic river clean, goes hiking atop the mile high Roan Mountain along the Appalachian Trail, mountain biking on the newly minted tannery knob mountain bike park with a rental from Trek bikes and the local biking crew in Johnson City, hiking to waterfalls, learning storytelling in Jonesborough while drinking moonshine, akhem, Tennessee Whisky, and visits the birth place of country music to get a taste of home with some local musicians. You won't want to miss watching how this story starts and ends in the Volunteer state.
