Exploring NYC, Woodside, Queens, Walking Queens, Walking NYC, NYC Walking Tour, Queens Walking Tour, NYC Neighborhoods
In this video I explore the neighborhood of Woodside in Queens. Woodside is a residential neighborhood bordering Maspeth, Sunnyside, and Jackson Heights. It is pretty diverse and surrounding by Roosevelt Ave and Queens Blvd. It is also home to Little Manila, a large Filipino community in NYC. The neighborhood is served by the subway line 7 train and also by the Long Island Railroad. Hope you enjoy this video, stay tune for more.

I've been living in Woodside for the last decade. I wish you had continued down Roosevelt Ave, as that is truly the heart of Woodside. I can understand, though, that the train noise would interfere with your commentary. All I can say is that it's probably the most diverse neighborhood in the world, but nobody cares about that. Everyone here just works hard and lives their lives.

...highways cutting through neighborhoods, evictions. Synonymous with Robert Moses. That's an episode in and of itself that would be the start of a whole series or a Martin Scorsese movie.

I saw you passed my church, the Jackson Heights SDA Church! I personally loved Woodside every since I moved here in 1994. I personally appreciate how positive you think of our town! :D

I stayed there for 4 months or so back in 1999. Came over to Wildwood NJ for the summer from Ireland, then after Labour day me and a few buddies decided to go visit some other friends up here. 5005 55th St I think it was, there was an Irish bar really close by called the Beacon Tavern, real epicentre for Irish Immigrants, there actually was a little green news bulletin called 'the irish immigrant' was delivered round the doors, really handy info in them. The local shops also would have a few familiar home comforts brought over to the USA and sold there lol. My regret is not recording any footage or taking enough photos while I was up there. 🤦‍♂️

@@caterinabianchini2334 ciao, abbiamo alloggiato lì una settimana. Zona molto tranquilla, nessun problema. 10 min e siete in stazione metropolitana per andare a Manhattan. Nei pressi della metro trovate tantissimi posti dove pranzare o cenare a prezzi ridotti rispetto a Manhattan. Godetevela!
