I explore New York City's only casino located in Jamaica, Queens near JFK Airport. Resorts World NYC is part of the Aqueduct Racetrack complex. I have no idea how people trust to play against any machine. In my opinion they are created to always win. A casino is all about gains. This place is HUGE! Music, games, money, food, super colorful, spacious - no wonder some people get addictive to casinos. You got your share of loses in Las Vegas :)

because some people can throw down a couple grand and not even care about winning, they just like having fun at the casino, me i only ever play like $25 at blackjack every now and i have a blast even whenever i lose, the trick is to just bring whatever you can lose without having to gain it back. some of the guys that come through the casino i work at can put down some big bucks, i even saw a guy throwin down $400 a spin and that's probably nothing to that guy.

Interesting fact about casino cameras. The reason there are so many is not for catching cheaters. They're for liability purposes. A lot of ppl try to sue casinos for trip and falls ect. 👍

I was there about 10 years ago and I can see it's been vastly upgraded. I liked that you can get there on a single metro card fare - subway to almost the end of the line and then free transfer on city bus. My problem with it was the slots were all video ones and gave an awful return. Then there were the low ceilings, not like some of the casino palaces you'll find in Atlantic City and finally there was just one restaurant and the food was blah. But it might be fun check out at least once now.

Glad to hear that it's been upgraded! You don't need to transfer to the bus to get to the casino though, it's walking distance from the subway stations Aqueduct Racetrack (northbound only) and Aqueduct - North Conduit Avenue

@@ActionKid I didn't have a map at the time so I didn't know how far away it was from the subway station. I recall it was maybe five blocks away, but the neighborhood looked so desolate (at the time?) I wouldn't want to walk there anyway. As for the low ceilings much of it was like playing bingo in a church basement.

Thanks, AK. Very informative. I will be visiting for the first time tomorrow, Sunday, February 20, 2022, so am looking forward to traversing through the entire casino to see what is where. Empire Casino in Yonkers, which I have visited many times, seems larger and has a greater number of machines throughout the casino floor. I assume things are more spacious at Resorts due to the ongoing COVID battle. I did not see a State Lottery Ticket area, as there is one on the second level at Empire Casino. Cheers!

Actually a great casino. I go there all the time. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose that's why they call it gambling. They have done a lot of great upgrades. Really not bad for a NYC Casino. Huge and lots of fun!

Great video ActionKid. It used to 3 floors of slot machines but as your video pointed out, they closed off the third floor. The food court is small since they used to have a buffet a few years back but also closed it down.

@@valerieann8007 Resorts World is a "real" casino in the sense it has Class 3 slot machines (like Vegas) where each machine operates independently of each other so you're playing against the machine. I believe Empire City Yonkers has Class 2 slot machines which acts more like a Bingo hall where machines are linked. If you see a bingo card at the bottom corner of a machine, it's a Class 2 machine. This is para-mutual betting, like horse racing where how you do affects other players and vice-versa.

Technically, the machines are "video lottery terminals." All of the games are unmanned, even table games like blackjack and roulette. Gambling is usually illegal in New York State, but the lottery is legal. When you are using the machines in this casino, you are playing the lottery, not gambling. A clever loophole.

It’s actually in Ozone Park, just across from the Howard Beach border right on the Belt Parkway. I grew up in the neighborhood and lived in Ozone Park/Howard Beach. I used to go to the flea market every weekend on the site where this casino is now. That neighborhood is actually still decent and Howard Beach is as good as it always was.
