Thank you for doing this on KZbin! I hope to see more. I was one who took the course but did not have any panpastels, I will send you what I did with regular soft pastels, but I ended up ordering a few colors of these. I can't wait until they get here and i can try them. Is there a group for people who are addicted to purchasing art supplies? LOL, I may need some help! ASPA Art Supply Purchasers Anonymous!

The color intensity is amazing and the palette is beautiful. I thought they would make great backgrounds for cards until you said no fixative. I’m happy just watching you use them and create wonderful pieces of art. Thank you, Denise. A big ol’ hug to you!🤗

You could scan them in and print them out to do cards... but definitely not good for cards as the original! I enjoy getting out my pastels every once in a while and having a play with them. I love the unique look of the pastels! Thank you! 🤗

Pan Pastels are fun in mixed media too because if you spray a little workable fixative. I like Krylon workable fixative it will say soft pastels on can {hold can back from your work and spray not close up on it, not a varnish sealer that will ruin your work. I cried to over that mistake on a portrait I had spent a lot of time working on. I was crushed but the workable fixative works great on stand alone pieces to, read your can it will say soft pastels on Krylon can, they make several kinds) you can add anything on top too if your into mixed media like watercolors, acrylic etc... but pastels are so beautiful on there own for sure. Thankyou for video you have inspired me to get out my pan pastels and carbathellos again. I've been on a playful watercolor binge lately it would be a fun change.

No, oil pastels don’t work like these. I have an oil pastel class on skillshare if you are on there, doing some little landscapes.

Love the end result and the process. It looks like soft material, can't think what it's called but it feels almost like suede? Velvety? Very satisfying. For actually doing this, I'd need to be in a messy frame of mind but totally organised to deal with the dust flying etc. My pastels sit pristine waiting for such an impossible day.🤭

Note on the paint stick 16:35 ... examine it b4 getting it. My husband got me one not long ago and it had janky spots where it catches you or clothing, and smaller spots that gives slivers!! So examine it well b4 picking one.

I absolutely love the intensity of pastels and the blends they produce. So beautiful! However, I really dislike the feel of pastels, and the messiness. I have scraped some pastels into watercolor to get a speckled effect, which was pretty, but needs to be affixed, or protected, or else it can just be scraped off.
@2lilowlsstudio11 күн бұрын
I love the intensity of the colors too! But they are definitely a bit messy! Thank you! 🤗
