Thanks for sharing these books. Because of your book flip throughs, I have seen books I'm glad I didn't buy & books that I did buy. The last 2 books were $30 each, brand new. That's when I found out Amazon has other sellers selling books used! I was able to get those 2 books for $4 each! And the same seller had both books so I saved in shipping too!! They may have been listed as used but they look like brand new books too me. The same goes with art supplies. I'm glad you test them out tell us about pros & cons as you see and use them. So thank you Denise, I appreciate what you bring to your channel. ✨️💕✨️

Hi Denise, the flip through of the German book was most fun. 13:44 - It was fun seeing you "interpret" what may have been said. LOL... If there is a picture, I'm gonna just wing it and figure it out. In the age of video tutorials, I don't read the instructions in artbooks anyway. I do it and then if it gets messed up or I get stuck, that's the only time I bother to read the instructions. Art is meant to be experienced and explored for fun - not for grades. 🙂

Just FYI...that German book is avail in US on kindle but it's in German. I just bought it and the amazing thing is the Kindle app has a translate feature so I just highlight a paragraph & it's instantly translated into English by the app. Pretty cool. Also...that Jean Haines book is so amazing to work through. It changed how I painted, even though I don't really emulate her specific style.

I have most of Jean Haines books. She does not use watercolor inks. She is really into texture. She occasionally uses acrylic inks with commercial granulation fluid. She also makes homemade inks from natural materials, and even a homemade granulation fluid! But the majority of her work is soft, pure watercolor with a touch of white gouache for highlights. I really love the style. I’ve been working on the lost and found edges but it is hard to achieve for me! I may order that first floral book you showed us. Great video.
