Interesting comment. I agree with a lot of what you said. Our american infrastructure is definitely horrible, and it continues to get worse, especially out of the big cities. You are actually lucky to be in NYC with public transport and bridges and roads that aren't a complete disaster. Smaller cities and towns are often completely neglected. It's crazy because here in China, these small towns, like here in Banna, continuously improve. There is always infrastructure improvements going on and people working to further improve the quality of life of the people. Of course our politicians love to incite hate and rage, it's easy to get people to support you when they live in fear. They don't even know what they are afraid of, but they are taught to fear and the vote based on those fears. Finally, I hope that you can have compassion for the homeless. I've spent a lot of time in the USA and talking with homeless. Every time I'm home I try to go down to the parks or around town and do what I can to help them. Most homeless people are not to be afraid of, they won't harm you. They are just down and out and living in a country that doesn't have social support required to take care of them. It's sad. Hope you'll change your perspective a bit on them, and more importantly hope America learns to deal with its homeless and poverty problems.
