April 17, 1975, I was in my last year of my high school in PP when Pol Pot forces took over the country and killed many of his own people. Most of my family members did not survive the genocide there. I was able to locate my sole surviving sister on my first return trip from the US back in 1995 when the country was officially open to the outside world. The country was still in ruins and families were torn apart. Most of the major roads and bridges were damaged from the prolonged civil war. The war was officially ended in 1998. They started to rebuild the country in early 2000s so it was not very long ago with the help from China, Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Be mindful and be kind whenever possible. Life is short to do the things we don't love doing but life is very precious. There are always pros and cons no matter where we live. Happy travels from a genocide survivor!

Tony, I enjoyed your video. To add a little to your history about Cambodia. It was the Communist Chinese that created Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge that caused the genocide and destroyed Cambodia. Now they funded Cambodia so they take over economically.

Everything is not Chinese money Chinese money blah blah blah :) example the biggest buildings in phnom penh " The Peak and The Bridge " is jointly developed by two prominent property developers - Singapore-based Oxley and Cambodia-based Worldbridge Land. Many of the big buildings in Phnom Penh are built by local companies and mostly joint ventures with Singapore, Hong Kong or Japan, and South Korea, with little presence from China. Yes The Chinese are present in Phnom Penh or all over Cambodia, But they are working and living here and they are not development the whole country, they are only developing in sihanoulville, A large number of local companies also have their own large office buildings in Phnom Penh now , such as chipmong tower! Why local companies have a lot of money even the country is poor? Yeah, Because they have been doing business and connecting to others companies in others countries , In the past, Cambodia was the most economically isolated country .and some large local companies do not have ventures with foreign companies.but now they are going very well , i really appreciate a large number of local companies They have developed many supermarkets and big hotels, including schools and many other places , its Many job opportunities for Cambodians, The way you said "chinese money "is incorrect!!

@@tony.travels Yes, not every building is Chinese built… it’s just something they’ve exaggerated and people ran with it because they think actual Cambodians couldn’t afford such buildings and don’t have much wealth to do such things. Cambodians are on the rise. While there are many projects out there built by the Chinese and a few other foreign countries, I would not say every or all… as they always claim. That’s so exaggerated… I can’t even LOL. Cambodians are doing better and many Cambodians are returning back to Cambodia to help rebuild. I will be one of them soon in the near future. A lot of Cambodians are mixed with Chinese, thus why Chinese writing on many store/business fronts. We call them Khmer Chen / Chen Khmer… you may even hear Khmer Kaht Chen which I hear the most. We also have many Khmer-Viets as well… Khmer Kaht Yuon. Like most of these types of countries, 2 classes dominate, the rich and the poor. Although, the middle class is climbing significantly the past few years, the country is still way behind countries like Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. But we have came a long way despite our tragic past. I strongly urge you to watch some of the old vintage videos of Cambodia in the 50’s and 60’s. You will see that Cambodia was actually doing quite well during those times… only for everything to be destroyed in the late 70’s. Thank you for visiting and respecting our country.
I really think u should be supporting their winter jacket effort...

13 Well. God always brings an interpretation to every revelation He gives. Now, the interpretation can come in different ways or gifts, and that's why I want to talk about it so that you be aware of it and pray to God to give you these gifts. 14 First of all, keep in mind that the interpretation of a dream or a vision is received through a gift; it must not come from our intelligence. It was through a gift that Joseph interpreted dreams in Genesis 40 and Genesis 41. And it was by a gift that Daniel interpreted the dreams and visions of Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar. I'm going to talk here about the different methods of interpretation. I have divided them into three parts. First, there is the standard method. Then, there are the gifts. And finally, there is the perfect will. 15 The standard method is that you understand through the Message, by means of your intelligence, what the dream or vision means. This method is not eternal. And to give the interpretation by this method, you must begin with: "I ask for forgiveness from God if the interpretation I am about to give is wrong". For example, if in the dream, the colour of your skin had changed, then by the Message, you know that it is the consequence of a sin against God and that you are loaded with a curse like Ham. 16 And it was to this method that the chapter Kacou 156 was devoted, with the aim of triggering a thirst for interpretation in you. When I gave you Kacou 155 and Kacou 156, I had seen in a vision that Kacou 155 had eight pages, while Kacou 156 had three pages, whereas, in reality, the two chapters have the same length and the same number of pages. God does not count the perfect will and the granted will together.

Stop requesting countries to stop building skyscrapers or modern buildings around the third world, for the enjoyment of Western people please. People need development, even third world people. My hometown in Penang Malaysia for example, many old dilapidated buildings of minimum value are still around I believe it's because of the tourism industry needs those to attract tourists from developed countries. We don't need your tourist money in that case.
