There are actually two Playa Hermosas in Costa Rica. I am at the Playa Hermosa in Puntarenas, just south of the city of Jaco.
Playa Hermosa is a great surfing beach with big waves.

Interesante el nombre Playa Hermosa cerca de Jacó en el pacífico central. Sabía de la existencia de Playa Hermosa contiguo a Playa Del Coco, pero en el pacífico norte de Guanacaste, cerca de su capital Liberia.

Its a lot more expensive here.. it was out of my price range, but it you can swing over $50 a night for a hotel then yes, I would recommend it over Jaco
