I often explore the Internet to find the best "Walks." Your videos are the best! I live in the USA and for the most part we do not construct buildings to last hundreds of years. When they get old they are torn down. Many old buildings turn into slums. As most of the world knows, our larger cities have a homeless problem. Very bad. Love this little village. I've only been to Polperro once back in the 80s, it was a lovely fishing village. I captured a good view of the bay which I still treasure now... it was a great place to visit... wonderful cream teas there too! It's interesting to see it in the evening as I didn't stay that long... all the little streets and lit up windows of the buildings are so pretty. Thanks for a brilliant walk! Maybe you could return when there's a storm?😉 From what I've seen on other videos, it can get quite alarming... and very wet!!😄

Our family had a weeks holiday in Polperro (14 to 21st August) Visited a few times over the years but this is the first time we've stayed in the village. Simply beautiful. Good to see things opening after covid restrictions being lifted. We stayed at 'Glintings' booked through 'Toad Hall Cottages' 50 steps to get up to the house. So no problem burning off those cream tea calories.

Very peaceful and enjoyable excursion. All the structures are white. I wonder how that is enforced and what would happen if someone tried to use another color, red for example.

Good morning to you raving cyclist (I love your name btw) well I believe the whole area is of architectural and historic interest and a good part of it is within the Polperro Conservation Area. Did you see the house with shells however? - seems to be really loved. Generally I guess folk just seem to have a sensitivity and love of them being as they are. It’s limewash.. we use it to keep the salt out.. otherwise over time it leeches through the brickwork. Where as the Cornish granite buildings don’t need it, hence why they are left unpainted!
