I hunted outside of Rockford for years . The Old Golden Rule was great place to get something to eat.

Living in Tennessee we always drive every year through the entire state of Alabama going down to our favorite place in Florida and I always enjoy the scenery. It is truly a beautiful state. The only down side to the trip is interstate 65 between Birmingham and Montgomery. Now that we usually go to Florida in the fall the traffic is not as heavy but if it rains your screwed! People can not drive when it's wet down there haha. Great video!

I am a native Kentuckian. But my hubby and I used to live in northern Indiana for a while, a lot flatter than east KY. Every time we came back home to visit I got sick. So I can relate to the nauseating roads lol! But we didn't stay gone long because there's no place like home.

Everything slows down in the American Southern States & it may be similar in the rural areas up North & in the Midwest but I cant say for certain because I haven't been to those areas. You may not like laidback living if you prefer the fast lane but you'll never know till you try. Personally I like living in areas where people watch out for each other & treat others like family. The perception that county folk don't like outsiders is bull shit. They are very kind but cautious until they get to know you. Its really the best way to be with anyone, make people earn your trust. There's a reason 99% of the scammers & thief's prefer the city for committing crimes where its very busy & peoples attention spans are pushed to the limit. It's a shame Hollywood has made every effort for decades to paint country folks, especially Southerners, in such a bad light. The amazing thing is they do this while at the same time trying to appear as the "Virtuous People". My issue isn't with city people, its with the living conditions & pace of everyday life in major US city's. In my humble opinion America would be better off not having people live in these big city's. Unfortunately our Government wants to force everyone into these cramped spaces in the future.

I live in a small village (population 3000) but the Netherlands has high population density so when I drive out of my village to any side in 5-10 min drive I am in another village and in half hour drive a am in bigger city. I think cause everything (even in smaller villages) is so close makes rural area in the Netherlands way more advanced than in USA. We have enough jobs here in rural areas while in USA it looks like cause of the distance to major city’s Some places are just not interesting for bigger company’s to be while in the Netherlands those company’s have presence in smaller places to. But you never know. Now people can work from home more which may make living In rural areas more interesting again. I do like the space in rural areas. This villages in USA just look so old and undeveloped like the government doesn’t give a fuck about those which in the Netherlands is not te case. Our villages here have no empty houses and our streets and businesses get updated just like in the bigger city’s.

@elbarto43944 жыл бұрын
@@TheRekrap I'm in NYC. State and sales tax are 9% plus city tax around 2% so it's cheaper than here
@TheRekrap4 жыл бұрын
@@elbarto4394 you just proved my point, Alabama's combined sales tax (state and local) is only 1% lower than NYC. Compared to where I live in Florida with no state income tax, 7% sales tax (state and local) no sales tax on groceries.
