Levi, let me tell you, I desperately needed this unit after returning home after Hurricane Milton. I was without power for five days. Hot and humid. No way to keep phones charged. This would have made my life much more bearable being able to pop a bottle of water in the fridge and heat up a cup of coffee.

@@snorttroll4379 I mean, being in a space that small isn't good for your mental health longterm because you're pretty enclosed. Not to mention the lack of storage and ability to refrigerate food. There's not much space to have adequate cookware. You'd also have to essentially go grocery shopping everyday and be reduced to like one-pot meals. And forget leftovers. This could be a great option for solo camping or temporary housing for those suffering with homelessness. But that's really about it. Plus, that toilet would smell bad after a while if the person lived in a colder climate because I'm sure it would be brought inside since nobody wants to use the restroom in below freezing temperatures if they don't have to.

I love it. One thing I would change....I would have made the bench with a hinged board and legs that drop down, so that it can fold out to a double bed. Then use the upper area for storage space with half the width (so you can get to it easier and get around better... and with a ladder that can be attached, for storage. It would also be cool to make a tent extension that can be attached by velcro or something like that. That way you could shower and use the toilet in privacy and also have a place to eat and change your clothes, etc. I turn a lot in bed..I would fall off of that upper bed for sure.

Levi, I really think you’re onto something special that can go a long way towards helping a lot of people step out of homelessness. My wife and I work at a Safetynet Hospital which makes healthcare more affordable for poor people and we are constantly helping homeless patients. And I think this model of yours can definitely be one possible solution to a very serious and widespread problem that we as a society have not done nearly enough to address or correct. I read so many good ideas here: 1) Use the bench as the bed. It would conserve space. Not everyone is an acrobat. Use the upper space as shelves etc. 2) Cut down on price by using less exotic and expensive woods. 3) Yes, with some changes it would be great for the un-housed as they are termed now. But it would have to be in a warm climate. The outdoor toilet and shower wouldn't work if temps go below 65°. But Keep up the good work. You have a good mind!

That's a neat little set up - I'm a bigger person and older - so I like some of the ideas in the comments about turning the bottom chair into a bed and storage up-top - but even with how it is now - if I had a little stool I could possibly get from the floor onto the cabinet then into the bed. I really like the black colour - if I made this I'd keep to that colouring of the outside. I especially like the ideas for designs like this to be used to help the homeless - dignity for all - and a safe warm space of their own.

I think this is perfect for you and many other people but it is not for me. I’m a retired senior citizen with flexibility problems. I am definitely not capable of climbing up into that bed. The bench would have to be my bed. The house would have to be about three feet longer so that the toilet can be inside since I always get up during the night. It would also have to be about three feet wider. Under some circumstances, I can experience a touch of claustrophobia. I even had a bit of a reaction to just the video when you first climbed inside. But I do think that it is an impressive project.

Some sort of deployable privacy shroud would be neat for the shower. Maybe a flip down/up U-shaped shower curtain bar and a simple external low-profile stowage cabinet to hold it with the curtain.

What if you make the drop-down bed bi-fold, with a roll-out mattress? Install some pop-out dowling sticks or hinged metal prongs on the wall beside of the door, so you can use them as footholds to stand on as you drop the sleeping platform and then flip down the extension - it will still fit nicely into the wooden brackets on either side. Roll out your mattress and Bob's your uncle. Heck, Bob could even sleep over if the bench was bi-fold, too - then this truly tiny home sleeps two!

Hey Levi,.I hope that you're having a great day! You have done an amazing job on building your worlds smallest tiny home!I would have to say buying the trailer and all the materials I would have to say you're looking at 6000.00 dollars to 7200.00 dollars. I like how you made it where every bit of space is functionable and there is no wasted space. Thank you for sharing and showing us your 19.46 square foot tiny house! I hope that you and your family make great memories with the worlds smallest tiny home! Your fan Leonard from North Carolina.

I love it!! Excellent job. I love the shower placement (no humidity inside to deal with). You've combined the best of what you've seen in your travels. I'm planning on a tiny space on land outside of town for weekend or just plain fun. Love the toilet idea too. You've given me confidence and inspiration to do it!! I think I'll use a pull out somehow on the main floor instead of the overhead bed. Also great for a guest house for the weekend. Bravo!!

Looks cozy in the bed space, I would need a skylight so it didn’t feel too much like a coffin, a mini opening screened window at each end for air flow! Also would make a hinged sitting area to open up so I could have “ bunkers” for guest to sleep over! Also a pop up screened /privacy attachment to sit outside or use bathroom privately!!
