There's not much space to have adequate cookware. You'd also have to essentially go grocery shopping everyday and be reduced to like one-pot meals. And forget leftovers. This could be a great option for solo camping or temporary housing for those suffering with homelessness. But that's really about it. Plus, that toilet would smell bad after a while if the person lived in a colder climate because I'm sure it would be brought inside since nobody wants to use the restroom in below freezing temperatures if they don't have to.

Then use the upper area for storage space with half the width (so you can get to it easier and get around better... and with a ladder that can be attached, for storage. It would also be cool to make a tent extension that can be attached by velcro or something like that. That way you could shower and use the toilet in privacy and also have a place to eat and change your clothes, etc. I turn a lot in bed..I would fall off of that upper bed for sure.

That's a neat little set up - I'm a bigger person and older - so I like some of the ideas in the comments about turning the bottom chair into a bed and storage up-top - but even with how it is now - if I had a little stool I could possibly get from the floor onto the cabinet then into the bed. I really like the black colour - if I made this I'd keep to that colouring of the outside. I especially like the ideas for designs like this to be used to help the homeless - dignity for all - and a safe warm space of their own.

I think this is perfect for you and many other people but it is not for me. I’m a retired senior citizen with flexibility problems. I am definitely not capable of climbing up into that bed. The bench would have to be my bed. The house would have to be about three feet longer so that the toilet can be inside since I always get up during the night. It would also have to be about three feet wider. Under some circumstances, I can experience a touch of claustrophobia. I even had a bit of a reaction to just the video when you first climbed inside. Very nice, and like someone mentioned, can go a long way towards helping people step out of homelessness. For me and some others out there, it would not be ideal when you are claustrophobic. Beautiful just the same. Great job.. 👍👍😺

One thing I would add is a wraparound curtain on the outside. It would be a cheap addition and would add privacy for both the toilet and shower!

I just watched the video where you built this and I am super impressed! You really did put in the blood, sweat and tears into it. Seeing Weston help was wonderful. You really did an amazing job!! Keep the videos coming my friend!! God bless you and your family 😊

The layout is similar to an extendable, motorized bike camper. Of course they weigh a lot less 😅 But I love your "all-inclusive" set-up with heater/ac, hot water and a toilet. It's great to see what's possible in such a small space!

This is actually the average house size in Europe But seriously, incredible build. You could even fill the spot in front of the seat with an inflatable and have 2 whole beds. It's wild how little we really need to live. Beautiful little home

Canada has a homeless issue? I thought that was just an American thing.
@The_Bad_Guy.17 күн бұрын
Oh yeah that makes sense. 5k per person since obviously only 1 person could live in this. I guess you don't mind your taxes being raised 500% to pay for that.

@@GaryDelabate since Covid the number have skyrocketed. Victoria BC used to be a beautiful, safe city. Now it’s full of crackheads, mentally ill, homeless people with tents on the sidewalks. Disgusting.

A mobile home would be better. This is way too tiny to help homeless people snd there's no indoor toilet/shower. It's an interesting build, but it is more like a playhouse for kids.
@richardsaunders-o5s18 күн бұрын
@mygirldarby year ..I see your point and also the sleeping quarters would only good that we're able physically...but I thought along the lines as emergency shelter...and then upgrade to something you suggested..tiny house...by the way...love tiny houses...have a good one mate

genius to make the shower and toilet outside. all you need is a pop tent to keep yourself private

Looks cozy in the bed space, I would need a skylight so it didn’t feel too much like a coffin, a mini opening screened window at each end for air flow! Also would make a hinged sitting area to open up so I could have “ bunkers” for guest to sleep over! Also a pop up screened /privacy attachment to sit outside or use bathroom privately!!
@GlotglotАй бұрын
I love your tiny house. Personally, showering and toileting in full view of the world would not be for me. But the cost is amazing! You really did a great job if ever available commercially, I think homeless shelters might be in the market to buy some.
