Exploring rural Cambodia in BATTAMBANG 🇰🇭 (amazing bat cave phenomenon)

Just in case you didn't know, Battambong is the second largest province and the largest rice grower in the country. The city is still a sleepy town. The Bamboo Train is also popular to visit. The bat cave has been there forever and the locals are allowed to collect the bat drops and sell them to the markets as the organic fertilizer. Bat-Tambong where the bats are living in the caves. They fly out to feed on insects, mosquitos, etc. Missing home. Yes, I was lucky. I didn't end up in that cave during the darkest regime. The local dialect like me says it fast "bat ta bong"

Haha yes, we read they liked to feast on mosquitos which was interesting!! The history here is so saddening and it’s unfortunately we couldn’t visit the cave but we did visit plenty of the sites around Phnom Penh. Very harrowing!
