I recognize that you are now doing flash forwards and breaks to segments of the videos that are unrelated to the current place you are in the video and then return to the current place. I really like that change that you've made. Kudos for continued improvements in your skills.

Its called man in Thailand the root that grows under the ground, its a root they grind to powder and useing in the food industrie. Me and my fiance have a farm in Isan and harvest one time every year. And we even have little pineapple in the garden outside our house. Great to see little country life be filmed, the pinapple price in Sweden is about 80:- bath for one.

our Texas price for Pineapple is close to 80 baht as well, I think I saw it at $2.78 yesterday (but exchange rates vary at times)

That's Casava aka Manioc. Grown all over the world and is a staple in many countries in Africa, South America and Asia. Yes, Tapioca is made from Casava roots. The stalks are kept after the whole plant is removed. The stalks are then cut into smaller lengths and stuck back in the ground to root and start the cycle all over again.
@bradaltemeyer44723 жыл бұрын
Cool, I was thinking that was the case with the stalks/ many plants will grow from cuttings, so if it wasn't a product, then it was for the next generation of the plants.

The man said they sold to a factory... I had 5 Rai of Sapallot a few years ago, just before the price went down because everyone did grow it. The first one I got over 12 Bath a Kilo at a canning factory, the last Rai I got 1 Bath a Kilo for those bigger than 1,5 Kilo. But the factory held the workers and transport. So with approx 1 ,5 Bath a piece planted and fertilized, I got back more money than I spent.

Hello from lockdown UK. I'm not envious at all. Thanks for keeping me entertained 8 Baht a kilo for pineapples is crazy. Less than 20 English pence. I'd like to see what houses you could rent in the countryside. Price. Location etc . If I were to reside in Thailand I wouldn't want to be in the city. Maybe some kilometres away from there where you get the best of both worlds. Take it easy man.

We were growing Pineapples ourselves. Had 200k plants on 3 fields. Stopped it due to too low prices. A big pineapple is 1.5 to 2 kg. Their field was very well looked after. No weed really. Thailand is one of the biggest Pineapple preserve producers and exporters.

Great Vid R4K good to get out into the sticks for a look at rural life, yeah I agree when I first saw a pineapple growing I was quite surprised too, for some reason you expect them to grow ok trees like most other fruits. Pretty cool tho and delicious just don't eat too much of it cos you get pineapple mouth 😂 Fun exploring look forward to the next episode big thumbs up from UK 🇬🇧

pineapples take about 4 years to produce, I have a few growing here in the RGV part of Texas, had one produce last summer. *just take the top from a pineapple and plant it/ when you get the moisture and drainage and watering right- they will grow nicely (in hot climates/ or as a potted plant)

Another excellent Vlog Lucas. I am a bit over the bar Vloggers ATM, as Pattaya will change again once the current scurge is over so good to see outside of Pattaya for me as I have my best times at the places most tourists never visit. I find that once the locals realise that you are not a typical Westerner the mood changes and they drop their guard more showing the real person that they are. I realised this more so in Issan, I got a mile instead of an inch. Please keep up your good work and I always look forward to your new posting notifications.
