Never been as it may have been underrated but seeing the quick view through your vlog temp us as one of the small and not over developed sightings to see in Thailand. Just like you, We love visiting Thailand and this country is our favorite place amongst one of the best Southeast Asia countries to explore. Although Northern Thailand took over our heart but the southern Thailand never failed to satisfy our needs for a good holiday. Even after over 30 odds years of countless trips to the far east, Thailand is probably one of the coolest country that always surprises us. You made a good choice. Traveling by train is “slow but sure”- as Thais often jest about our trains being cheap but not necessarily punctual. What sets it apart, however, is the scenic view along the train tracks. You might be surprised to see food vendors moving back and forth constantly. While this might be annoying for some Thais, including myself, privacy isn’t always the top priority. On top of that when you ask locals for directions, be ready for a common practice - preparing to go the wrong way. Not everyone knows the exact place and its distance, but they tend to point in the direction they think is right. It's a Thai norm. Some might struggle to explain in English and forget to mention the distance.

This year, northern Thailand and Bangkok are colder than usual. The southern region therefore experienced very heavy flooding and according to news reports it was the worst flood in 50 years.

Well you guys travelled in second class ! You should have travelled in 3 or 4 class, what we like to call chicken class, it has wooden long bench seats and is even move open, and at each time the train stops at a station new food selling people get on and off, the food you can buy on the train is fantastic ! You can even buy beer ! I took a train from down south all the way up to chaing mai, if you do a overnight trip on a train make sure you get the bottom bunk beds otherwise you will be swinging side to side all night long and it is terrible.
