Cafe Apartments - Saigon Oi
We ordered salted coffee in this historic apartment building turned mall of cafes! Walking through this historic apartment building full of scenes that look like an Instagram feed, you can feel how this country has changed in the past 60 years!
Cheo Leo Cafe :
Here we ordered Cafe Sua Nong with Bretel Butter (hot cafe with condensed milk and butter), this historic coffee shop started in 1938, and the traditional methods (and even the stove) used then are still used today! This is one of my favorite coffees we have had in Vietnam, and to make the experience even better, the owner invites guest to the back to show the traditional coffee making methods! (for free)
King Koi Coffee:
We ordered the King Koi Cafe Pandan Coffee. Obviously we discovered this spot on TikTok, because this is what influencer dreams are made of, but it truly is such a beautiful, peaceful spot. Feeding the Koi fish and then yourself with unique coffee is such a fun experience!
Ca Phe Do Phu - Bao Tang Biet Dong Sai Gon:
We ordered the phin coffee with condensed milk, and finally got the classic, old man in a park drinking coffee, Vietnamese coffee experience. It was magical, and delicious. This cafe houses a bunker from the war (there is an additional charge to explore it). We entered through the floor, and climbed up to exit through the bathroom sink. Definitely the most unique cafe experience we've ever had.
Little Hanoi Egg Coffee:
We ordered the hot egg coffee, and it was fantastic! We LOVE a shop that makes one drink their specialty, and it is clear that they have PERFECTED the recipe here. So thankful for the recommendation from a local subscriber!!!
