ugh! i paid 60 euros a night for a room and bathroom in that same town. but then again it was a hotel! In Cayenne I only spent 15 euros a night THANKS TO AIRBNB Before I flew out of Cayenne I stayed in an AIRBNB near the airport. The lady drove me to the airport.

60 euros is insane isn't it?? I can't afford that at all... Airbnb works well thankfully. I used that too. It seems like you got a nice airbnb host. Good for you! ;)

Remember French Guiana is the only European territory in Latin America, also I think you can possibly get signals from Brazilian TV channels or radios

The "indigenous village" you visited is an informal settlement by Brazilian illegal migrants. Because of low population in FG, the local government doesn't have a policy of expulsion of illegals, but it doesn't either want to encourage illegal immigration by provide the needed services to those informal settlements. It's sad but it's a vicious circle that's difficult to break as long as Brazil doesn't tackle the endemic poverty of its Amazonian region that's being robbed of its resources.

Na verdade, a parte do Brasil que faz fronteira com a Guiana Francesa é isolado do restante do Brasil.... Estou em São Paulo agora e desejo conhecer a Guiana pela ponte, esperando sair o visto na embaixada. Obrigada pelo vídeo.
