I ride in San Diego on Coronado Island with ‪@Jaycation‬ . Coronado Island is known for its white beaches, restaurants, beautiful homes, hotels, and attractions. We make our way from the Coronado ferry landing to the Hotel Del Coronado, which is an iconic hotel in operation since 1888.

Awesome man! Did you see any Navy Seals training out there? That's where they do the BUDS training and Hell Week etc. The Coronado Hotel has been written about in countless books about the Seals. Cool area with tons of history and thanks for taking me there!

The Hotel Del Coronado was featured in at least two famous movies: SOME LIKE IT HOT with Marilyn Monroe (where it posed as a Florida resort) and THE STUNT MAN with Peter O'Toole ("Who had the audacity to put palm trees there? They will be in every shot!")

Coronado looks so beautiful and i’ve actually seen that Hotel Del Coronado on the tv show a long time ago , although the tv-serie name is forbidden so i won’t say it ,but everybody knows what i’m talking about !!! Thank you A K and Jaycation 👍!!!

The Del is the setting for the book "somewhere in time" with Christopher (ex superman guy).although the movie was shot at Macinaw (sp) island resort in Michigan. Loved the book.

Not sure that you are knowing part of Coronado island is home to the Naval Air Station - and so many naval ships coming and going out of that area.

I have spent many weeks in Coronado over the years. the proximity to Mexico is a problem because the sewage from Tijuana that is dumped in the ocean will come up towards Coronado.. so the beach is very nice, but you will rarely see people in the water.
