Great video and review of San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf, but you missed The Buena Vista restaurant, famous for bringing Irish Coffee to San Francisco, and for Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe being regular customers when they lived a few blocks away, and it was also in the movie When a Man Loves a Woman with Meg Ryan, and Andy Garcia. Scomas restaurant right on the water around the corner from Cioppino's restaurant has the best Cioppino in my opinion.

I was there as a mere teenager during the San Francisco earthquake of 1989 (a.k.a. The Loma Prieta earthquake); the strongest earthquake to hit the area since the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. It was a scary experience that caused a lot of damage. But it’s even scarier to see the place in such a rundown post-pandemic state; even though, your upbeat personality always puts a positive spin on everything. 😀 A great video, thanks for sharing.

@darrylk808 Жыл бұрын
@@TohaBgood2 No, dense cities should reduce crime to attract business and patrons. Funny how people just accept the way things are and find ways to accommodate crime because it becomes the new normal.
@TohaBgood2 Жыл бұрын
@@darrylk808 SF is already much safer than your average small town. The fact that you insist on driving into the second densest place on the continent and expect to find a parking space is honestly just hilarious. Let me visit you in your cookiecutter suburb. Is there jet plane parking? I need a long enough runway and place to park my jet. It's a "compact" one, I promise.
@darrylk808 Жыл бұрын
@@TohaBgood2 it's not hard to find parking. There are these things called parking garages. They actually cost about the same or less as 2 people taking CalTrain into the city. For short trips it's economical. It's more convenient as I can get there and back down the Peninsula faster and come/go on my schedule for the same cost as the train/Muni/Bart. I also don't have to pass all the homeless and drug users that make Bart stations home at night.

Umm ... it ain't empty because of the so-called pandemic. The word is out about San Francisco. Nobody, nobody wants to go there. That's why it's so deserted, even though it once was one of the best tourist draws in the whole U.S.A. (it was my #1 favorite U.S. destination until they ruined it). Saintly points to Chris for restraining from saying it, as he chose to paint an encouraging spin on what many regard as a dreadful place with the most dreadful people in the country! These merchants want you, but 98% of San Franciscans act just hateful, disturbed and grotesque :(

San Francisco has its major problems but no matter what people still visit it because it’s a beautiful city overall. I mean sadly it is falling apart and even more so due to the pandemic but tons of people still visited prior to it
@Bill_Woo2 жыл бұрын
@@vaishx Saying that ANYTHING is "the pandemic's fault" is the biggest copout in show business. Do you really think people aren't horrified at crime being nurtured? I mean, real crime, state-sponsored theft? Which YOU in part pay for, you know, much less business owners enduring terror that the voters and government encourage. Do you think tourists don't know that public bowel movements are encouraged? That they not only inflicted humanity with Nancy Pelosi - but do so with 80% approval, far more than 99% of any national politicians, ever? That they overwhelming support the repressive, oppressive, tyrannical governor, when it is incredulous that even ten people in the city would support him? Do you think tourists want to view the birthplace of hated Kamala Harris, another product of the warped, perverse "pronoun mentality" San Francisco? That's just the most obvious ones. It's one of the most expensive cities on planet Earth as well. So, we're supposed to summon crocodile tears because "they're having a hard time getting back to normal from the pandemic?" If that's what anyone thinks, I'd like a hit off of the bong that they're toking. And plot twist: San Francisco's oppression over the "emergency" (LOL) pandemic was and is about as bad as any in the entire United States - and that self-chosen and cosmically ignorant voter stupidity-sanctioned action is being blamed with sad little violins for their economic self-destruction? Rich.
