Thank you very much for making this! The tower is much the same as I remember it from the 1980's, although Dad told me it was in better condition when he was a kid in the 30's. When we visited Kirkcaldy we would stay with my uncle who lived in the middle block of flats on the Prom, and we used to go for walks round Seafield quite often. It's changed quite a bit since then, although I do remember the bit of wall you looked at. I can't remember if Dad ever knew what it was for or not...

There's hints that it might have been built to protect the bleachworks and quarry that was there, from the tide, but nothing concrete *boom boom* There's a very blurry photo I seen of the tower in 1920s and it looks a bit better, but still in pieces. I didn't put it up due to how shit the photo looked. Bloody 1920s cameras, lol

Don’t forget 1973 when my uncle was a miner there.. luckily not his shift but took ages to contact and feel relieved. And more for those who were lost.. before that he was at Wellesley ..

My old man who was brought up in the links told me about the wall they tried to create a harbour and the work was carried out after the great depression in the 30s to give men work there was also a cave near a footbridge that was supposedly haunted 🤣 it went a good way in but was bricked up

Might do one at the cave. Was there a few years ago with Dad, but the cave was a bit wet. There's an old kiln on the beach too. New video on the books once I get Jim's request edited.

My mum used to go to Torbain Tower when she was a kid (i think its called) I’ve passed it in the car , would be cool if you can go there! I’ve always been curious to what it looks like , think its the road the breaks if from Oriel Rd?!

Because it's in someone's garden/farm, it's not something you can just walk into. Will see if I can ask the owner if its OK to look, but think it's just a shell.

Pretty sure a was told that its a folly built by the owners of Raith Estate when such things were fashionable. It is cool though.
