This past March, I spent a week in Sedona, Arizona. A place that is easily becoming one of my most favorite place to visit. This was my second time back and in this video, I go through one of Sedona's most popular 4x4 trail, the Broken Arrow Trail
Broken Arrow Trail is a 2.8 mile out and back trail. It is considered moderately challenging and takes about 1.5 hours to complete.

Man, solo and filming on this trail 🫡. I love the views on that trail. Nicely filmed, wind noise is fine.

You should post a video with the process of wrapping this truck. I had a Barcelona Red 4R also and loved the color. But that quicksand color….bad ass.
@fpartidafpartida
@fpartidafpartida 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, total agree with this comment. Also, how long does the wrap last? How do you maintain it? And what was the cost? Cover photo shows some red peaking out to the lift gate, is there no way to avoid that?
@francisngo
@francisngo Ай бұрын
Yeah I wished I captured footage while I was wrapping the vehicle. Initially, I started but the wrap took so much time that it was hard to also focus on setting up the camera angles.

I love this video! I like how you’re “real” and not making it seem easier than it is. And you explain things in a way that’s easily understood. Unfortunately I don’t think I could make it down Devils Staircase with stock clearance. Can I do Broken Arrow and avoid DS?

When you were talking about your line choices at Devil’s staircase, I thought “Why doesn’t he just drive over the large rock (as in put your tire on it)”. Looks like that’s what you actually did. Pretty sure that’s the best way to not take out your differential.

I'm wondering if you let more air out of your tires it would've made less noise? Idk, just wondering if that helps in a situation like this

Very nice looking 4Runner. What year is it? I ran this trail, several years ago, in my 1986 Toyota 4X4 pick up. It was beautiful and fun. My current rig is a 2018 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium, with some moderate mods. 3 inch lift, front trail camera, rock sliders, and a drawer / sleeping platform system in the back. I really love the 4Runner. It's a pleasure to daily drive and it's very capable off road. I enjoyed the video. Thanks.

Did you use A-TRAC anytime during your drive? I noticed tire chirp…curious to hear your experience with A-TRAC.
@francisngo
@francisngo 2 жыл бұрын
I did not use A-TRAC for this course although it might have been useful in certain situations to avoid tire chirp especially near the texas bump section.

Awesome video and Sedona looks incredible. Do you think a stock 4Runner Off Road 5th gen would make that trail?
@francisngo
@francisngo 2 жыл бұрын
I would say you would have to know your vehicle very well and be okay with potentially hitting your tow hitch mount and rubbing if the vehicle isn’t lifted.

@@francisngo 2021. I will eventually get a lift and 285s. It might not be till next year. I haven’t done much off roading with it yet. I guess I’ll need to wait and get the lift to be safe. Thanks Francis.

Very nice. How did you have the transmission or other controls set for the staircase decent?
@francisngo
@francisngo 2 жыл бұрын
No controls were set just had the 4Runner in 4LO and let gravity takes it course (braking firmly when necessary). It can get really slippery so even when you brake, you can still slide a few inches; that is probably the scariest part - not feeling like you have control.

Great video! Did you install wheel spacers? If so, does your steering wheel shakes when you go over 50 mph?
@francisngo
@francisngo 2 жыл бұрын
No wheel spacers. I have SCS wheels which have a -12 offset. Would recommend going away from wheel spacers as they put extra load on the wheel bearings and can cause damage especially for off-roading vehicles. Even if you only drive it on the road, hitting pot holes can cause a pricy damage.
