Thanks for the review, I had no idea there was a free edition of the smart race app. I went ahead and bought the Bluetooth adapter for the Carrera system, so I've got a pretty good idea about that. But I thought in order to connect to a phone you had to subscribe to the smart race app server at a monthly rate. What am I missing?

Very basic- what hardware is need for Smart Race? Is it the blue tooth dogle for the wireless controllers? If different, what is the Carrera part number? Help

Hi Jorge, Nice tip on returning to the free practice, i didnt know about that. Here's a tip for you, at the 10:42 mark you talked about passing in front of the sensor and how it will record it as a fast lap but, if you go into your track settings and set the Min and Max lap times (once you get a feel for laps times) it will not count those laps. They will appear as invalid

@@Area51racewayNC This feature comes in handy when racing against 2 ghost cars, the first cars lap will count but the second car will cross below the lap threshold and the lap will not be counted

Thanks Jorge - this looks like a great app and I'm pretty sure I'm going to use it for my own analog track once it's ready. One question - do you know if there's a way to UPLOAD an existing car database with photos and other info that you've already created into the app ? Entering about 200 cars separately onto a tablet doesn't sound like a lot of fun 😆 as typing data into a tablet is a real PITA. Appreciate all the tips you offer!

Glad you liked it. As for loading cara you have in a data base i would as the designer for that answer as I really do not know
