I'm local to Edinburgh and I like going to South Queensferry frequently as it's so easy to get there. You can get the 43 bus from town or the 71 from the Gyle. I also recommend the Canadian fast rood restaurant called Down the Hatch at Port Edgar underneath the Forth Road Bridge. There is of course another Down the Hatch branch at the top of Leith Walk.
