You can still do that, Christianity is more than a belief system, it is a personal relationship with the living God. Reading the word of God and spending time in prayer can help you have a better relationship with your Father- God. P.S. We are all on unique life journeys with different purposes, which shapes how we perceive God. He meets us where we are and reveals Himself according to our personal paths, but He remains the same faithful, loving Father to us all.

We do agree that "Christianity came with a boat" it has been proven and we were told. We do come to realise that our ancestors had different practices before Christianity was introduced by our colonies . Let's learn to not limit God over how He was introduced to us. God he knew things before they occurred, the colonies could've came from the sky and we would've said "Christianity came from the sky", they could've crawled to Africa and we would've said "Christianity crawled to us". God can use anything and anyone to let his Gospel be known. Nothing would stop his mandate and his plans for His word to be spread all over the world. What the enemy intended for evil and to colonise our minds and dim as "forgetting our African roots" God used it for good for us to get to have such podcasts where he's name is spread across the world. He would've done it otherwise. He is not limited by a boat to get His children to know Him. He is God of abundance and unlimited ways where it seems to be no way.

1. Where is it proven that Christianity came with a boat? Before speaking on things, it is very important to do research and be willing to learn. Christianity has longggg been in Africa before colonization years. It's funny that we still have Africans who still want to justify their wrong beliefs and not want to educate themselves about what colonization did to our people spiritually. Lebo~"Christianity came on a boat to Africa; we had religion before they came." indeed so, partially. Before the arrival of Christianity on the grounds of Africa, there was nothing called religion. We can our set of practices in place, which were responding to the then times. Such practices, among others, assumably involved going to mountains and asking for rain from the higher spirit, which is the mysterious creator. As an ideological state apparatus, religion, predominately Christianity, overcame those practices and demonized African practices. The African Spirituality Restoration should indeed be in contemporary conversations. Do we even question what was the main purpose of religion, or should we not "question the word of god" as we were taught. Practices and bodies of knowledge that depress autonomy and subjective perspectives (questioning) should be looked at properly on the grounds upon which they are anchored or their main purpose. African Spirituality is our Identity and we own that 👍👍

The dream realm is actually very important. Some accounts in the bible actually took place in dreams. When God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, it actually happened in the dream realm. Daniel was known for his ability to dream and interpret dreams. Joseph was called a dreamer.

The narrative that Christianity came in boats or is a white man's religion is false. Christianity has been in Africa for almost 2,000 years-long before European colonizers came. In fact, Ethiopia had Christian communities as early as the 1st and 4th centuries, making it one of the oldest regions where Christianity spread. African countries like Ethiopia even made Christianity their official religion over 1,000 years before colonizers arrived. So, Christianity has deep roots in Africa... And Ethiopia is the only African country that was never colonised!

You cannot have faith in God w/o reading the Bible(Romans 10:17). You cannot love the world and the things of the world and love God James 4:4-8, so no clubbing etc and loving God does not co-exist but we tell ourselves a lot of things as people and believe they are true.
