In studies on female animals, Stevia was shown to reduce fertility by 57-79%, similar to the results on male studies. The effects on female infertility lasted for months after intake of Stevia was ceased. Stevia has this contraceptive effect as it impacts your hormones and hormone receptors on cells. The contraceptive properties of Stevia have been known for a long time - with early studies in 1968 showing this. Native tribes have traditionally used Stevia for centuries for its contraceptive purposes!

@@dirranherman1627there's no evidence of effects tord humans, but yes after 60-90 days of a high stevia intake it did show a 57-69% in animals. But let me note that it's illegal to do human research with harmful intentions so pretty stevia definitely wouldn't help you get pregnant.

herbal origin is not a selling point against sugar bro. sugar also has a herbal origin.
@misirloupowerslide Жыл бұрын
It is against the artificial sweeteners though
@jeremiahcep8 ай бұрын
That is the selling point, like sugar, stevia is a processed natural sweetener, but unlike sugar it is zero calorie and does not spike blood sugar levels. It is about the same amount of processing as sugar and comes from a plant but without the downsides of sugar. So yeah, that is the selling point.

That's the point. It is herbal, just like like sugar. Unlike other zero-calorie sweeteners, which are artificial. The reason to use it instead of sugar is for 0 calories, not because it's herbal.

I was able to lose weight using this before and presently still. There wasn't any good studies against this at the time when I had access to people. I notice however that if I consumer too much, it starts to make the food I am eating turn bitter and then I don't desire anything with stevia in it anymore for a certain time. Coffee is great with it up to a point. It becomes less and less. If i make a treat like a mouse made with Cream, stevia, cocoa, coffee crystals...a few bits are good until it becomes too much. I wonder the mechanism inside.

It sounds like you've had some success using stevia as a sugar substitute for weight loss and in recipes. Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia plant and is a popular alternative to sugar, particularly for those looking to reduce their calorie intake. However, it's important to note that individual tolerance and preferences can vary. The mechanism you're experiencing might be related to your taste buds and sensory perception. Like with any sweetener, including sugar, there is a threshold beyond which sweetness can become overwhelming or less desirable. It's possible that your taste buds become more sensitive to the sweetness of stevia with repeated consumption, leading to a perception of bitterness or an aversion to overly sweet foods and drinks. Additionally, the specific combination of ingredients and the way you use stevia in recipes can also impact your sensory experience. Moderation and balance in your use of sweeteners like stevia can help maintain your enjoyment of foods and beverages without overwhelming your taste buds.
