The artist for Tarot De Luz does have a book but it's in Spanish. Fuego is a real favourite in my collection but I love the Slavic imagery in Carlotydes.

funny... i often go very dark but i love the tarot de luz. i suspect its vulnerability and subject matter challenges me but i think its mesmerising. i recognise a LOT of photography references in the carlotydes but oddly thats the one that does almost nothing for me. the tarot del fuego is so charming and, i think, quite humorous as well as challenging!

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed. But that's part of the fun, isn't it? I do think that being overly familiar with the content of a deck, especially one based on repurposed artwork or a theme, can mean it doesn't work well for one's individual approach. I feel this way often about pop culture decks. So I can understand why Carlotydes wouldn't necessarily grab you. I love the Tarot del Fuego for its oddities, humor, and total disregard for traditional norms and stereotypes.

Of these three I definitely like Carlotydes the best. I'm not sure if it's quite my style but I could see someone liking it for the same reason I like Dreaming Way -- soft colours, a little quirky and some interesting fashion choices.

Sarah, that was wonderful. You seem to have a real knack for visual interpretation. I've had the Carlotydes on and off my wish list forever. The Del Fuego is very arresting - a bit overwhelming. The De Luz doesn't move me at all. I think your idea do do the reading, using each of the decks was really a good lesson in general interpretation, using a loose, intelligent approach. It was a little difficult, for me, to take in the imagery of all three decks at once. I mainly studied the Carlotydes and the Del Fuego. Thanks, so much, for a very interesting video.

Thank you Frances, that's very kind. I am glad you found this helpful. I have to say I didn't like the Tarot de Carlotydes when I first saw it. But it kept popping up here and there and when I finally took a closer look I realized how much I liked its combination of sophistication and quirkiness. I think visual interpretation is important, no matter what deck we use - even if we only use one deck. The cards don't always mean the same thing in a different situation, so using visuals, whether that's shapes or colors or postures, expressions, symbols - whatever it may be, can help us in each reading.
