The only time I’ve seen that happen was a tarantula that was being chased by a tarantula hawk (a wasp that hunts tarantulas and has one of the most painful stings among all insects). So once we realized it was being chased, we took off running too, but we were running from the wasp, not the spider.

@@Alexander59059it depends on the type of rattler. Eastern Diamondbacks are the calmest, Western Diamondbacks are pretty calm depending on the temperature. Timbers will leave you alone as long as you don't try to yoink them. Canebrakes will just straight up strike at you just for looking at them.
