Hi all, just a note that I am the owner of Giant Sundance. I just made a video on my channel explaining her story and more information that has come to light about her possible origins. So far no others have been found and her story is taking on some twist and turns. I will say it would have been nice if the spelling mistakes would have been corrected and I was contacted in some way to ask for permission to use my photos, info and text. As well as getting an update on the new information I have. For those that do not know BBE Baby, stands for beddy bye eye babies which is a type of pony that was made in the 80's and the type of eyes the giant baby sundance should have.

It's cause mlp back then were designed as characters that you care for (similar to baby dolls) as opposed to toys you were supposed to identify with or play pretend with (like Barbies). More of a Scruff a Luv and less of a Lol Surprise in modern toys terms. In reality kids staged elaborate dramas of love and deceit with them :P

I've noticed the Black Widow Twilight plushie myself while watching the movie but I have a theory that this was the personal plushie of little actress in that scene. I wasn't born yet when G1/G1.5 and G2 was a thing, but I think the retro dolls of the older ponies were so cute and chubby. G1 dolls being my favorite while G3's are a very close second. No hate to G4 since I love the show, but people should at least give the other versions a try since without them, we wouldn't have had FIM and G5. It's upsetting to hear people aren't giving the older gens a chance. I got into MLP during G4, but looked back at G3 and G1 and fell in love with them almost instantly. I can safely say G1 is definitely my favorite gen. G4 might have the show, but the toyline is abysmal.

i actually have windy, i think the one you showed is either white from lighting or discoloration like you said; mine has always been an off-white color to me, but under certain lighting conditions you can see she's actually a VERY pale lavender, yet the one in the picture is more blue. the repros likely went with the color used in 2D artwork/other merch, since most pictures of windy i've been able to find are also off-white with a purple tint. love your videos btw!

Great video! It's always lovely to see pre-FiM MLP get more love. I would like to point out some inaccuracies, though. The cancelled Rainbow Ponies special was likely never a thing. The footage that gets passed around is just an advertisement, nothing more. They did the same thing with the Twice as Fancy ponies, which also gets mistaken for show footage. Majesty might appear in the show... a lot of people believe that she is Mimic's ancestor shown in The Golden Horseshoes episode, since she has the same colors, and the golden horseshoes are extremely similar to Majesty's. Pony cancer and pony smooze are not the same thing. What you described is pony cancer. G1 ponies had porous plastic, so pony smooze is the dirt and debris that gets stuck in the pony's pores. Also, the Fancy Swirls DO have names and a backstory. Their names are Pearlshine (purple), Swirlabout (blue), Mistyglow (white), and Starswirl (pink). Their backstory goes as: "A Night of Sparkles For the fancy swirl ponies, the most fascinating place in Ponyland was the sky where surprises sparkled against a velvet background. One night, the four friends climbed a starbeam stairway to explore this wonderful, wonderful world. They peeked into a nursery where baby stars were learning how to twinkle and sang lullabyes at the shining moon. A sparkling river poured from a glowing jar, and streams of it fell on the sun, moon, and stars, giving them their brightness. Just then, a passing comet bumped the jar and spilled bright swirls all over the ponies! The colorful swirls were beautiful, and the ponies were delighted that a part of the magical sky would be with them always."

BRAVESTARR ICEBERG PLEASE!!! this makes it obvious how much of a baby i am, but by the time i was growing up, bravestarr was already over and considered a "retro" cartoon which would come on late at night after reruns of both he-man and she-ra, so at like 1 or 2 am iirc. i remember listening to the theme song and several translations of it on youtube for God knows what reason. my parents rarely let me stay up late enough to watch full episodes, and by the time they came on i would have also been incredibly sleepy, so i remember virtually nothing but "EYES OF A HAWK! EARS OF A WOLF! Ah, G1 (and G2) have a special place in my heart, there's something about them (quite possibly just nostalgia, however) that makes me so happy. I can say that I am personally a fan of all 5 generations, but I believe these two to be my personal favourites. I consider myself more of a part of the collector side of the My Little Pony fandom than show, however, I have an interest in the shows, too; I do enjoy the G1 show a lot - it could be very soft and gentle, yet, it also had some darker moments, too. This contrasts with G3, which didn't really have any darker scenes in any of its episodes that I recall. I cannot say that it was perfectly written, but it definitely has a certain charm to it that I really enjoy. G2 never got a show in the first place, which I am admittedly a little sad about, but at least there was a PC game, comics and commercials that give a vague idea of the world that it takes place in.

The mystery rainbow-haired pony has had an HQG1C version made of her though, under the name of Prettybow. Also, I still stand by my sentiment for these modern-day fan theories, which is to just give them one big, long, heavy _sigh._ It's the same stories, the same theories, again and again and again. People trying to make sense where there is none, people being unwilling or unable to accept any magic in storytelling and trying to explain it too much, often using other things they have no understanding of. The coma idea is thrown around so much in so many stories you can pretty much just expect it to be someone's explanation for anything that would be deemed as fantasy.

Cheerilee in g3 is apart of the core 7 Scootaloo in g3 is apart of the core 7 Sweetie Belle is apart of the core 7 Toola-Roola is also from the core 7 from g3 Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are obvious ones The only member of the core 7 not to have any g4 appearance was Starsong Also shout out to minty since she was a very common reoccurring character in g3 leading up to the core 7 reboot in 2007.

18:59 hey shunks, I just wanted to let you know there is one for g4 too (but it looks a bit different) I actually own it! Though it’s for the blindbag ponies, not the brushables. I had found it at a bookfair when I was probably in about 3rd grade. And I guess it was being resold because it had come out in 2013 and this was in 2016 or late 2015 I think. And it came with a blindbag figure named tea love.

Surprised you didn't talk about Wigwam. Wigwam is a Big Brother pony, and he is an indigenous pony 😅 He has a cutie mark of teepees, and he comes with a headdress. I honestly don't know if he was seen as problematic at the time, but he was, like, almost the only problematic pony.

If those people who released the 35th Anniversary throwbacks made some of these unused ideas into actual toys. Me not ten seconds later: TF DID SHE DO THAT?!! XD Also, I think the pony calling Lickety Split a "hot dog" wasn't actually referring to horse meat; saying that someone is "hot dogging" is just an old-timey way of saying they're showing off, though I suppose it could've been a double entendre in this context.
