Bought beer and ice many times there. Ate at the Ivy once back in the 90's. A mouse was running around under our table. Ran over my wife's foot. Told the waitress about it and she replied something like "Yea, we have a few get in here now and then." Never went back.
@OnceOccupied4 жыл бұрын
You can tell the Ivy definitely had some character. I haven’t been able to find any photos of the inside of the Ivy or Riverdale from back in the day. My dad remembers picking up drinks there as a kid. It’s crazy how the icehouse spanned so many generations.

Hey guys, great video. My wife and I love your channel. Definitely our new favorite exploration channel. We live in Cincinnati and are both from Dayton, so it's great to see familiar places that feel nostalgic in a way. The Hara Arena was the video that introduced us to your channel. Sad to see it rotting away. I remember as a kid in the 90s going there with my parents. My dad was there representing the painting company he worked at in their yearly Home Improvement event. Anyways...keep up the awesome work and stay safe out there. God Bless!

Wow - I think this was one of the cases we were presented when I was on grand jury duty. I remember too many details just to have read about it in the newspaper, and it would have been about the right time. It was a lot, both this case in particular and jury duty in general. Interesting to actually see the place it all went down, more than a decade later!

Really enjoying your videos. I grew up in Dayton very near main and siebenthaler. Also used to love exploring abandoned houses. the best was an abandoned farm house on 571 between tipp city and west Milton that my friend and I explored 50 years ago. We went by a few years later and it had been totally restored. They were using the barn for an antique store so we went back and talked to the owner. She took us through the entire house and it was so great to see it brought back to it’s former glory. It’s now a wedding venue called Willow Tree ...check it out

There are a lot of "unsolved" cases in Dayton that should have been prosecuted and certainly had enough evidence to do so. It seems like the police do a cursory investigation and then just give up.
