Exploring the Barranco Del Rey in Tenerife

Some amazing gorges and barrancos. It looks like an old wild west movie set. You would have to watch to ankles in places like that.. If you went over a rock then wrong way you could be in a bit of bother. Brilliant as always and really great shots. I take it with the shade in there it was a bit cooler to walk in. Hi Scott, it was fairly cool at the start of the walk before the sun got too high. It was a shame I couldn't get further along the bottom of the barranco before having to turn back. Hope you are well, ATB, 👍

I did this walk a few years ago from Arona to Vilaflor. There was a kalima that day and the restaurant in Ifonche was closed , I was hoping to grab some lunch, certainly felt it that night in Vilaflor!

Hi, the GR131 between Arona and Vilaflor is an unrelenting steep climb and even tougher in a calima. Thanks for watching.

Hi Gary. Another great video. I’ve done Roque Del Conde a few times so I’ve probably passed the Barranco entrance, would I be right in assuming this? This is another walk on my to do list. Thanks for posting this. 👍🏻

Hi, Yes, it's nearby but instead of heading left towards Roque del Conde, I just continued a little further on the GR131 until it dropped into the barranco. Instead of climbing out the other side, I turned right into it and walked as far as I could before turning round. Thanks for watching.
