Exploring the Barranco del Rio in Tenerife, Canary Islands

As I am unlikely to be hiking in the UK this year because of the Covid situation, I will continue posting hiking videos from my home island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands on this channel, as well as other hiking related subjects. This video was taken on a hike last week to the Barranco del Rio, which is a huge, impressive gorge that descends from the pass between Montaña de Guajara and Montaña Pasajiron, high on the caldera rim in the National Park. This walk descended a short way into the middle reaches of the gorge to take photos before climbing out and descending to the lower part by the Presa del Rio dam. Here, I descended into the bottom of the gorge where I spent some time exploring and taking more photos and video footage.
