It use to a car park when they were building the dams in the area. A walk further down the road is very interesting. I know of more walks thanks. Brian and Anna from Kawerau

The area where you parked up was the Single Mans camp site Used to be full of small single Huts for the staff that worked on the Tongariro Power scheme

Hi Debbie, the kettle is a Hario (Japanese brand that coffee supply shops sell here in NZ) Chelsea’s jacket is from Kathmandu, it’s got a nice fleece lining that unzips from the inside 👍
