I was in Chaing Mai last summer and it hit 43 degrees Celcius so around 110 Fahrenheit. Heat was really bad. Even going out from the hotel to get lunch taking a Grab was terrible. I'm not joking but my brand new sandals came unglued due to the heat. Top portions of my sandals separated from bottom portion. When I showed the hotel staff they told me it happens during summer months. Glue had melted. I bought like 3 tubes of Super Glue from 711 and even then it didn't work. It would just melt the minute I would be out in the heat. That was crazy. I totally agree about the quiet hotels. I'm the same, I like zero noise. I don't want to hear any noise. I always request a quite room and floor and far away from other rooms.

Wow, that's an insane story! 😅 43°C heat is no joke-it sounds like Chiang Mai’s summer really put your sandals to the ultimate test! I can’t believe even Super Glue couldn’t handle it. That must’ve been so frustrating, especially just trying to get something as simple as lunch. And I totally feel you about the quiet hotels. I’m the same-I always request the most peaceful room, far away from any noise or disturbances. It makes such a big difference when traveling. Thanks for sharing your experience-stay cool next time you visit Chiang Mai! 🔥
