This looks more like a camera panning a scale model, than reality. Is it? I mean, I see a bird swirling on occaision, and a flashing light, but it doesn't look like real life. Mike

It's 100% real. Look at the boats on Lake Erie. Look up the power plant, and its history. I live 30 minutes away, and I have no scale model lol. Also, check out this video of the river right near the power plant that I made this fall. You can see me waving as the drone passes the restaurant on the shore. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2W2YpWPia6febc

@@LinasMuliolisC21Homestar I'm from Canton, just a little ways down the road. Been past many times, had friends that were called over the years to 'The Cliffs', and never knew the nick name. Footage is magnificent, Keep up the good work. My daughter is an ironworker. Has done a lot of work around N Ohio. Built bridges, skyscrapers, welded up lights at the HOF stadium 140' in the air. Sent me some good pictures over the last 18 years ... none as stunning as this though. Thanks

Was this what used to be called "the Muny? Light plant?", Linas? The Journeyman electrician that trained me in the early 70's, later became a boiler engineer. He said that the reason they have shut down sooooo many coal powered power generating facilities, is because that even with all the sophisticated scrubbers and pollution controls, a lot of coal being stripped out of the ground is what they call dirty coal. A lot of other impurities, including, just plain dirt, is mixed in with the coal, and it is impossible to maintain output pollution ranges between the high and low levels consistently. They get dinged and fined for every minute that smoke/steam is released over the limits. In the long run, it becomes cheaper to burn gas, after the fines. He said at the time (2008), that 60% of all natural gas in the US is used to generate electricity, and that increases our gas bills, but makes the gas people happy

Coal is a horrible type of pollution. Not just air pollution, but coal ash causes significant groundwater contamination.
