Thank you both for a lovely trek through the woods and follies. I especially enjoyed your comment “ The burial mound must be buried!”

Love the Deepdene trail. I probably have told you but I used to work at Kuoni that were based in the offices that were built on the site of Deepdene house. Whilst we loved the gardens to the front and side of the offices, we had no idea of the treasures hidden under the rhododendrons to the rear like the grotto and the ‘embattled tower’! It was quite a thing when I saw this a year or two back with Mr Vobes! The old house was used in WWII as the southern railway hq and the tunnels that they used are still there (there was access from kuoni’s cellars. The other access was that bricked up entrance underneath the tower.

The thought "...bet confused... ...2 forks..." reminded me of the Robert Frost (1874-1963) poem 'The Road Not Taken'. Eaglegards...

Marq, one very interesting walk is the Horsley Jubilee Walk circular, check out the Lovelace bridges in East Horsley, they started renovating them in the early 00's. I live oop north now and miss the very places you often walk so your videos bring back many memories and act as therapy. Thank you.

Not sure I'd want my washing viewed by the public. I did a search and found other photos of washing on Cotmandene common.

Marc .It seems very pointless having needless vandalism,on a such historical walk Like the Deepdene trail
