Exploring the Flinders Ranges Ep 2 - Easter '21 - Bendleby Ranges (Billy Goat & Kings Ridge)

Well the morning was spent Easter egg hunting and then checking out The Hungry Highway an 8 out of 10 for difficulty and then some of the sites along the back fence, we stopped for some lunch and to gather our courage to take on Billy Goat Ridge a 10 out of 10 for difficulty. Charlie and Kylie you are not wrong this track has a bit of everything and will test experienced drivers skills and nerves. Although Layla, Curl and Luke enjoyed it slightly more then Kylie, Chelsea and Ange. We made it through in one piece and went on to enjoy the lookouts. Finishing the day on Sunset Ridge sharing some food, drinks and stories with our fabulous hosts and now friends Charlie, Kylie and their family.

Good drive lads. As a beginner 4wd'er I want to know that if we can take over billy goat ridge with a stock vehicle 2020 prado vs and 2020 pajero. both of em have rear diff, traction control and 220mm ground clearance. In simple words no modification have done on both vehicle. Your expertise will help to resolve my query. Cheers

Gday Adesh, I think you would struggle with Billy Goats without some lift, or another vehicle in front to help guide or winch you if needed. I wouldn't recommend it on your own or as 2 beginner drivers, there are a number of other tracks at Bendleby to get you going and help build your confidence and skills first. We are running a tagalong tour in the Flinders in September pending border closures, you can get information on this on our website. Billy Goat isn't the hardest track in the bush, but changing a tyre half way up... kudos...

It was in a ordinary spot mate, but we had to help the fella was trying to change it with a bottle jack on his own, with a rock behind 1 wheel. It was so sketchy, but that will happen to 50PSI in road tyres on Billy Goats. Thanks for watching.
