Exploring the Grand Canyon South Rim With Your Dog // Grand Canyon National Park [EP 89]

While most national parks limit your dog to parking lots and campgrounds, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is a great place to bring your pooch. You can’t go on trails down into the canyon, but you are welcome to explore the incredible views and paved access trails along the rim. Join us as we explore this beautiful area on foot and by bike with Jasper in tow.

Thank you for the video - brought back memories. We were there for a sunrise service on Easter morning - God’s beauty was so evident. We are considering e-bikes but are having an issue on how to transport when hitched as we don’t want to put a bike rack on rear of camper. How do you like your e-bikes? Would you buy the folding bikes again and would you recommend that brand. Thank you

We absolutely love our E bikes and would make the same decision again. We like that they fold up because we can put them in rolling tubs and they go underneath our fifth wheel camper for easy transport. Good luck with your travels!

It is a Burley dog trailer and we love it. The only complaint for our dog is that I wish it was about 10% larger. We did a full review of the trailer on our site, so you might check that out. It is always fun to have your dog along!

hi! where do you park for this hike / how far is the walk from parking? I know some trail heads may be far due to no dogs on shuttles, considering going with my pup and doing the 12 mile south rim.

We just parked near the main south rim visitors center entrance in the main parking lot. It is a beautiful place!
