Other drill is ratchet. Think 1.5inch. next time you're in there have a look at the bit with the drill stuck in the wall. Think it looks more like threaded bar off a long fixing bolt rather than a twist off a ratchet drill, although I might be wrong.

Powered drills were not used in this mine so the battery would be for the telephone system. Found them on other mine sites. Appear to be from WITTON not Wilton. At the left side of the blacksmith's forge you would expect to see the bellows not the anvil stand which would be in front of the fire and now buried under the shale. I suggest you get some new gloves!

I thought it said Witton too haha cheers Simon, hope your keeping well. Ahh yes makes sense for the bellows to be there due to the hole in the furnace on the left. My gloves have definitely seen better days 😂😂👍
