Exploring the History of Environmental Justice to Support Anti-Racism

I live in Chicago and to the west of me is a poorer area that has some locals in forums like nextdoor calling for the local gov't to help mitigate the air pollution. To be fair, there is a scrap metal yard in a middle class area too but that I think may be getting shut down. I'm not sure. Long story short I think we REALLY NEED DATA to sway action in this case. A relatively low cost idea is collecting air quality over a period of time is with units from co.'s like Purple Air. I think we can nudge alderman and mayors to install air quality sensors around the city to track and make the data public. Then lets all sit down and talk. Or locals pitch in a few bucks and get one or two installed on their own.

No one even entertains the possibility that maybe an unsavory character is just that just a jerk or a bully it's always immediately assume its because of racism without even the slightest hint of looking at that person's character before calling them racist. I am Hispanic and I hate and know there are legitimate cases of racism but the vast majority are assumptions when a black perpetrator kills an innocent white person it should be treated as a potential hate crime as well what makes a black victim any more important that in itself is racist I am just sick calling on of the Race card when its convenient headlines and the media are just disgusting and toxic with absolutely no morals Fox CNN prime examples of everything that is wrong propaganda bias bs! Morgan Freeman said it best there is no Black history month and the best way to stop racism is to stop fn talking about it!

Sure the race card is used at times when it's not needed but this video topic is about environment and neighborhoods that get the short end of the stick. Stay on topic. It's all to convenient to dismiss and stonewall the race card b/c it happens to be misused at other times.
