Rain Forest of Suriname
The Surinamese Rainforest region comprises Suriname's three inland administrative districts: Brokopondo, Para and Sipaliwini. The area is part of the vast Amazon region and is almost entirely covered with tropical rainforest. In the southwest is the Sipaliwini savanna area. In the centre and south are mountain ranges.
Tiobot Eco Resort
Tio Boto Eco Lodge is a small, charming and cozy eco resort in the middle of the interior of Suriname (above Suriname area). This small-scale eco lodge is a 3.5-hour boat ride from Atjoni on the Upper Suriname River. It is a 3 hour drive from Paramaribo to Atjoni. Tio Boto Eco Lodge is located in the area of the maroons, namely the Saramaccaners. This group has a nature culture, they mainly live in small villages along the river. There are 7 authentic huts with beds on the site and of course we also offer the possibility to sleep in a hammock.

I've never imagined to experience wildlife before until I came to Suriname. I would definitely do this tour over and over again! The experience is absolutely amazing, from the journey on land and on water. The greenery of the forest is just beautiful and refreshing, calm and peaceful. I always say I won't go in the Suriname River because I can't see😂 but OMG! The water is sent from heaven 😩 Now I want to go in it more often. Tio Boto ensure that each guests had an amazing experience! Thumbs up to Marta for arranging this tour. Also Thanks to Thomas and his wife for making Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.... oh Lord they feeeeed us! Also thanks to Jay that assister around.
