I need to order some of those silicon earplugs as I can use them to lock up the differentials on my RC cars... so use them in my ears until they are no good, and then bung them in my cars! 😀

I have many a memory from Lympstone. Not all of them fond 😂 I got to Lyme Regis once a week for work. It is stunning place. Can’t believe that car park on the Cob was empty.

It is a lovely part of souther England, I've not explored much in that chunk before as I've either been travelling to or from Cornwall with Cornwall being the holiday, so was ace to have a spare day to head into the area 🙂

I used to love fossil hunting as a kid. I never found anything very exciting but there was always something small.

It really is... it is very different to my recent vids from Wales, but that is what I love about the UK, such different landscapes and feel to the different parts 🙂

Very cool video Pete - some awesome little country lanes! It is very hard to find an actual coast road - just the same here, I've done most of the "coast" of NSW and Victoria and been on just a few real coastal stretches. Like you said, there are more nut you keep having to duck in and out from the coast and here that's often over 100Km each way. Wow - great photos, that's so great to be able to walk freely through so many fossils. I'm with you - look and leave 'em there, no need to take them home or as I saw here on my trip deface tribal artworks that are tens of millennia old! Beautiful day for a decent ride there mate 👍

A nice little day out H-D and a very pretty route. Being a Dorset boy myself, I’ve been to Lyme Regis quite a few times too. If you are desperate to take a fossil home, I find it’s always best to buy one in one of the shops, saves all of that beach yomping in motorcycle gear 😂 I’m glad you had a nice trip down memory lane and managed to find some genuine fossils yourself ! A long time ago we stayed in seaton as my friend has a caravan there I think he still has one We went looking for fossils in Lyme Regis found a few but we left them there on the beach We cooked some food and chilled it’s a very nice place and we had a great time 👍

Not illegal as such... my bike isn't due it's first MoT until 2024, and then it is at the discretion of the MoT tester if they deem the bike too loud or not.

It's a beautiful area that as yet, I've never visited. I bet the best time for fossils on that beach are after winter storm high tides have dislodged parts of the cliffs. (Although bad news if your house is at the top!)

Yup, and spring tides too as they are bigger tides, so get more exposed beach when the tide is out too! 🙂
