That comment you made about the camera tech back then reminded me that you could make a great documentary without the bells and whistles. Such a natural realistic portrayal of an adventure warts and all. So refreshing and inspiring. Thanks for sharing and have a merry Xmas/New Year. 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks so much - really appreciate it. I truly believe story is #1, everything else from there.

Wow wow wow. Talk about a trip of a lifetime. Thanks so much for sharing this. I love that there are still so many places like this to dream about. And wow Rachel - I’ve been reading her blog for years, such an amazing hiker.

Yes, these places exist and I’m glad they’re so hard to get to. Ha! Rachael is a legend in many ways (and that Tom bloke too), though I’m pretty sure she’s a “Bushwalker” 😂😂😂 (and epic canyoner).

Wow!! I now must make this my next big goal hike, did you plan the hike from scratch or is there a trail name ?
@LotsaFreshAir9 күн бұрын
Alas, this was no hike, no trail, no name, nothing. All offtrack exploration and our own navigation and loads of planning, from years of similar trips and experience.

I’ve never had to do pack floating, your adventure is certainly not a trip to take expensive electronics on.

The bliss of being disconnected! We did have a PLB and some smart waterproofing though! lotsafreshair.com/how-to-waterproof-a-backpack/
