Shenzhen, a modern metropolis, has a developed transportation network and a criss-crossing subway system. In this city, there is a subway station designed for the future - Gangxia North Station. It is a four-line hub transfer station for Shenzhen Metro Line 2, Line 10, Line 11, and Line 14. It is Shenzhen It is the second four-line transfer station in the subway system and the third four-line transfer station in Guangdong Province. This station is located underground on the east side of the intersection of Shennan Avenue and Caitian Road in Futian District, Shenzhen City. The main body is arranged in a roughly east-west direction. Next, let us uncover the mystery of Gangxia North Station together.
Let’s take a look at the Line 2 part of Gangxia North Station. This is a two-story underground 12-meter island platform station with a total construction area of 10,600 square meters. The design of the platform makes full use of the underground space, allowing passengers to feel a spacious and comfortable environment while waiting for the train. At the same time, the design of the station also fully considers the safety and convenience of passengers, and has multiple entrances and exits to facilitate passengers to quickly enter and exit the station.
The station halls of Line 10, Line 11 and Line 14 of Gangxia North Station are newly built and located southwest of the Line 2 station hall. To allow passengers to transfer more conveniently, the station hall of Line 2 has an underground pedestrian passage connecting the mezzanine parts of the station halls of Line 10, Line 11, and Line 14. In fact, the level of the Line 2 station hall is equivalent to the mezzanine part of the new station hall. This design not only ensures the space utilization of the station but also facilitates passenger transfers.
At Gangxia North Station, passengers can transfer to Line 2, Line 10, Line 11, and Line 14. This four-line transfer design allows passengers to reach various areas in Shenzhen in a short time, greatly improving travel efficiency. At the same time, there are multiple bus stops around Gangxia North Station, allowing passengers to choose different travel modes.
Gangxia North Station is a representative and important hub station in the Shenzhen subway system. Its four-line transfer design not only improves travel efficiency but also provides Shenzhen citizens with convenient travel services. At the same time, the construction and operation of Gangxia North Station was carried out.
The success of Gangxia North Station did not happen overnight. During the construction process, engineers overcame many difficulties, such as limitations of underground space and challenges of geological conditions, and finally achieved the goal of four-line transfer. These successful experiences have great reference significance for the subway construction in other cities in our country.
Gangxia North Station also pays attention to the concept of green travel. In the design of the platform and hall, factors such as energy saving, environmental protection, and safety were fully considered. For example, the lighting system of the station uses energy-saving and environmentally friendly LED lamps; the air-conditioning system uses intelligent control methods to reduce energy consumption. These measures not only improve passengers’ travel experience but also contribute to protecting the environment.

Why is the driver's cabin so exposed? Drivers need to be able to concentrate without being disturbed.

This is an automatic subway, so the driver only needs to sit here and hardly need to operate.

This is a driverless metro. In China, ALL driverless cars, bus vans, and trains are required by law to have a driver at the driver seat! - For cars, it's for safety reasons. (at least for now). - For bus vans, it's for emergency situations. - For metro trains, it's really only because you need at least a staff on the train. So may as well be a driver.
@ChinaSongsCollection
@ChinaSongsCollection Жыл бұрын
....by the way, from what I can see, only driverless cars actually have steering wheels. The driverless bus vans don't seem to have steering wheels, so I guess the staff is not actually a driver. And for the automated metro trains, I'm not sure the 'driver' can actually drive the train. Maybe someone can let me know.

@@ChinaSongsCollection Hahaha I think that's the case too, because I don't think there's really a need for a driver on the subway
