This is a driverless metro. In China, ALL driverless cars, bus vans, and trains are required by law to have a driver at the driver seat! - For cars, it's for safety reasons. (at least for now). - For bus vans, it's for emergency situations. - For metro trains, it's really only because you need at least a staff on the train. So may as well be a driver.
