"The Lost Girls" sounds like a movie produced by Roger Corman.

Asylum film for sure! I gotta admit, I cringed at the name when Cecil brought it up.

It would have been such a stupid movie.... Maybe a good porno, but definitely a bad movie lol.

1. The mullet was already a thing before this movie. 2. I guess the producers forgot about An American Werewolf in London; pitch perfect horror comedy. Great video, I look forward to watching more!

I was never a huge fan just thought it was alright. But I just rewatched it a month ago and damn I love this movie now. 80s villain Kiefer Sutherland is my favorite actor.

I watched this at way too young an age, it left a huge impression on me. It was the first time I'd ever seen a husky and fell in love with them ever since, my dog was named 'nanook' also the moterbikes scenes got me interested in bikes as well. Without a doubt best vampire film I've seen

My favorite Vampire movie and a top all-time favorite of mine. The music is SO good and the emotions and vibe of the movie is just so on point. What I love is how everyone feels like a REAL person. Particular shoutout to Dianne Weist and Barnard Hughes for their performances that can get lost with so many of the other ones.

As a Santa Cruz County native, this movie is one of the best movies filmed here. The comic book store in the movie is still around, though its no longer next to the Boardwalk (it moved to downtown-I want to say it was because it was of the 1989 Loma Prietta Earthquake). Edit: Maybe I should have watched the whole video before commenting.

Additional fun fact for you non-Canadians: Kiefer's grandfather was the left-wing politician Tommy Douglas who is considered the architect of universal health care here.

Fascinating, seen Lost Boys too many times for people to believe. And literally just finished watching Berserk (1997) for the 2nd time. Both incredible. Still trying to work out if Griffith is actually evil if he was predestined by fate to become the monster he does?? He is evil, but it was out of his hands.

Being born in San Jose I was shocked when six or seven years ago I pop this movie on for the first time and it opens on the Boardwalk, which I've been going to my entire life. Even without that association though the movie is so much fun and Joel Schumacher's dreamy atmosphere fits perfectly

@@collin1240 I’d be interested to see if there’s a “signal” so to speak re return on investment. Is there actually evidence the money should just let the art do it’s thing. Or is it completely random. Was Lost Boys amazing not only because the director got his way or was it also because they slashed his budget. Too often high budget sequels of low budget hits turn out to be shite.
@collin12403 жыл бұрын
@@charleshetrick3152 True. It may be the conflict colliding with passion, creating drive. I've rarely seen a result (or at least attention called to a result) where something good came from caving to the demands of the money men. But I've also seen vanity projects where the creative got their way and it ended up horrible. I guess if it was something that could be nailed down, someone would have by now.
