State, Govt Center, and Aquarium are some of my favorite stations on the Blue Line!

This is what happens when you run subway trains on a line originally designed for streetcars.

Cool video. I used to live next to Wonderland and rode the BL daily. Now I’m stuck on the Orange Line at Oak Grove.

its probably the most reliable line for boston. some of the older cars got sold off to other cities from the blue line.

0600 series made by Hawker Siddeley 1978-1980 I believe, retired 2009 2 sent to US DOT at Pueblo, Colorado. Fate of them unkown. 2 sent to Seashore Trolley Museum to be preserved in 2009, can be visisted, currently not in use due to needing repairs 2 at MBTA Broadway training facility for emergencies, unoperable Total of 6 saved, 4 operable (mostly), 4 confirmed to still exist

Interesting subway line originally intended for trolley cars. Also a mix of third rail and overhead power. Plus underground and surface running. Thanks DJHammers👌💚

Interesting, since it is a loop. That's the turnaround at Bowdoin.

It would be nice to see the above ground blue line stations out in East Boston to Wonderland!

The seats on the train are similar to the seats on the metro train model 81-740 "Rusich"

Boston doesn’t go for that.

Its not needed on the Blue line anyway because all third rail there is underground until Airport to switch to overhead catenary lol

Ironically enough I’ve been down this route on my visit to Boston last year from top to bottom, I was born in Toronto it’s definitely a scenic route but the trains are so noisy it’s annoying

The previous Blue Line fleet was based off a PATH train, and the current fleet was based off the old fleet LMAO

You know, for a city that is well diverse in knowledgeable people, your trainsit network is really poorly designed. That equipment looks to be struggling with the infrastructure that it rolls on. Also, i find it uncomfortably loud just watching this video. I also looked up the system online that equipment is not compatible with the trackwork they got going on.
