Great video! I just got my GI60 a few days ago and still doing initial testing. I’d love to see some specifics in the future of what settings you’re using for the different projects. Keep up the good work!

I purchase the same laser as your, not sure what support are getting if needed, but the config file and marck7 file does not exist on the tumb drive they sent. I have tried to contact Monport multiple times and no answer. the Lens that shipped with it is a 200. Not sure if you can assist with this. Great videos keep up the great work. oz

Yes I can help you with that. Shoot me an email brett@arcshop.us. I can send you the configuration file. But honestly it’s much better to just go through the entire lens calibration. Lightburn makes it really easy now. The file only gets you so far, I’ve found calibrating myself to give much better results. Either way email me and I’ll help you out.

great video. I just got mine. monport 60 mopa coloring. Does anyone have content on coloring engraving. When I get better, I will likely post videos myself to help others. If you could post the settings, would help us out...like the first one you did, was it a gif? an image file? thanks for your help!!!! I love this hobby!

Thanks for watching. Have fun with the laser. Search KZbin, there’s some good color engraving videos out there. Material test cards are going to be key.

@@LaserGarage yes, I agree…there is a marginal learning curve!! I have searched, and have seen very few. Can you help with key words to use/type in search field? Thanks. I do love this laser hobby.!!

There's a channel called MakrTheory. He has a great color engraving video where he does a ton of testing. Testing is going to be your best friend though. You'll need to play with speed/power/frequency/q-pulse/line interval and focus. Videos will give you some starter settings but you will have to do extensive testing on your machine to get best results. It's also extremely important to test on the exact material you will be working with. Different types of stainless steel will engrave differently. For example, settings that work on a stainless steel business card or dog tag will not produce the same result as it would on a flask.

I'm having an issue with consistency from the laser. I have the Monport GP 50W integrated fiber laser and I get the settings how I like them, do a couple of runs of product, then will get a product completely burnt. Or I will write the settings down, come back a day or two later, and get completely different results. Nothing has changed-- same product, same settings, same height/focus. I do not understand it and it is driving me insane!

Weird. What product are you working with that’s giving you these inconsistent results?

This fiber laser definitely seems like a step forward in the industry.

It’s a great laser that’s for sure. Still getting the feel for it.
