@@janandtraceytravels I'm not trying to insult other producers, but the reason I tune into these videos is to learn about the actual ship and experience. Other producers commentary on their personal life is very distracting. You all do a really great job of focusing on the product in a clear and concise manner and you are the first travel channel that I thought was worthwhile to subscribe too. Keep the info coming!

Overall, pretty good walk through the NCL Sky. I have been on the NCL Sky multiple times, and it is the only ship I especially love with the large porthole window staterooms on deck 8 (midships). The Sky does not have any bad balconies due to its design, because the ship was designed first, and the balconies added later. However, the balconies do come with one drawback, and that is thin walls. Speaking from experience, I had heard way too much going-on from the next stateroom than I ever intended. The changes that were made on the NCL Sky were not all good in my opinion with the latest refurbishment and were rather made by individuals who do not sail the smaller ships in the NCL fleet. The smaller the ship, more needs to go into designed, amenities and let us all face-it the bars, not just the food. With a smaller ship you would think higher quality of food is important, but only in specialty restaurants is the general rule. There is little to compare otherwise, because it is pretty much all coming out of the same kitchen. Without music throughout the ship, you are basically forced to listen to the loud chatter of other cruisers which increases on a smaller ship. Also, it is harder to find privacy. On the NCL Sky music was never an issue; always had plenty of it. Needless to say, the NCL Sky holds a special place in my heart due to the memories of past sailings. I have plans to sail at a future date in November and hope to open the doors to the past that exist somewhere in my mind, as well as making new memories to places in ports of calls. Sometimes a ship doesn't have to be perfect to have a great time on vacation. The ship just needs to serve as a vehicle to get you where you are going in life and nothing more.

Thanks for the kind words. One of the things that we have noticed has been that cruising post-COVID is not the same as pre-COVID. NCL is the line that we had sailed on the most and we always enjoyed our time on NCL ships. The Sky didn't quite meet our expectations. The food wasn't at all at the quality that we remembered and while some areas had great service, others (like in the Local) were largely absent. That being said, we enjoyed the cruise--just not as much as we had on our previous NCL journeys. In a few weeks we will be publishing our review of the Sky--we are in the last couple weeks of our World Cruise and editing has been slow. Thanks again for the kind words and watching our channel!

For the spa is there a men's only and women's only spa ?

There is only one spa, however there are two saunas. One is accessible through the women’s dressing room in the spa and the other is accessible through the men’s dressing room. This, you cannot enjoy the spa together with your wife/husband. Thanks for watching!

Both dressing rooms have access to their own same-sex sauna. There are couples massages available for fee however.
