Also Greeks are NOT big drinkers....they dont get drunk like say Canadians or the English like to. it's more moderate. they are just sociable.

There's no rules for alcohol in Greece. You can get anything you want and drink it anywhere you want. The same with cigarettes and smoke products. The current government try to change this but Greeks we never give up.

I am half greek and used to go to Greece quite a lot to see my grandparents. As a teenager I wasn't even allowed to be with my boyfriend on my own. I was usually chaperoned. How things have changed. In my opinion for the better. I wish I could have gone to bars and clubs. It's amazing how things have changed.

Amazing u didnt stumble over any homeless bumbs, nobody asked u for a dollar, everyone is beautiful, nobodys wearing high heels n super tight overly sexy outfits! This was amazing it left me with a pleasant vibe! We gotta make ny beautiful like this, I mean with more happiness n friendlyness! Wat u said about some foreigners is soo true they really touchy feely! I worked in hospitality/tourism here and yeaaa they be touching like they not doing nothing wrong, its weird cuz its not actually in a creepy way (4real) its just how they are! I think Athens nightlife fundamentals have long been the "Bouzoukia" establishments, which have now become grand music scenes. There is some evolution of Athens nightlife, but I can't think of the differences right now between my past experience and the present day.

I am a Greek born but grew up in Australian, I first went back to Greece for a holiday in 1987 and never saw a yiros, went again in 1997 and only saw a yiros bar in Thesaloniki, in the past seven years I've been twice and now they are every were, not sure how they became know as traditional.

Gyros have been popular in Athens since the end of WW2. They become ubiquitous by the 60s during the development of modern Athens. So they are very much traditional modern Greek food. Have no clue where you were in the 90s that didn't have gyros. Maybe in a small village? It's not uncommon for them to only serve souvlakia(kalamakia) in less populated areas.

Watching from nyc 😘 ok lemme tell u..wen we were pretty young things wiv no kids or hubbies nyc actually did have cute lil clubs similar 2that vibe back in the mid-late 90s n early 2000s! ok there always was bouncers (cuz its ny) but there were really cool hole in the walls clubs in L.E.S shouts Lower East Side (no cover charge, no pretentiousness, strong ass cheap drinks -LongIslandIcedTea lol- and a couple spots popped up on 1st ave n East 1st/St Marks Place/Flatiron/Various spots along West side highway and Harlem always poppin of course..Nyc just cant have an entire strip of clubs bcuz of real estate$$$ developers..They literally took over every block in Manhattan 2make "luxury residence towers" and now the club scene was cut off in a guillotine. The "City that Never Sleeps" is now yawwwnnnnn Fuck it Im glad we got 2party the way we did even tho we older, we dont look it lol We had the best fckin fun ever all over our city 🍹🌿🎱💊🎲 and none of our dirt ended up on the internet 😘

Ich war schon öfter in Athen , und für mich gibt es keine coolere Stadt in Europa! Keine Stadt ausser vielleicht in Italien kann mit Athen und Tesaloniki mitfahren. Das Flair und diese Energie die diese zwei Städte haben gibt es kein zweites Mal in Europa!
