Hey G. This was a special vlog for me because I used to live in bootle when I was a kid. I’d walk to kirkdale station every morning and get a train to old roan station then a bus to Maghull. I’ve not seen kirkdale station since about 1992 I reckon so it was nice to see it again. Love your crazy energy in the videos G if you’re ever passing by gatley station and shout squidgy b**bies loud enough I might actually hear you 🤣

It's great to see you exploring the North West again G, This vlog brings back some great memories for me, My grandmother used to live in a block of maisonettes near Sandhills station from where you could see the railway and the trains passing by, I was aged about 5 or 6 and spent many a happy hour watching the trains go by, My first ever job was also nearby and every day I would travel from Central Station to Sandhills (It was not the funky station it is now, we are talking mid/late 1980's here), The underground sections of the Merseyrail network have always fascinated me and the sound and rush of air as the trains approach are something to appreciate, especially on a hot day. Funny and entertaining, loved the edit with the seats and your hand, very clever. That pizza box in the bin could have been made by myself, great view from outside Aigburth station, looking forward to the next one, stay safe.

The humor is excellent! This was extremely great!! These journeys are great! The Merseyrail trains are great! Excellent in every shape or form! You were very loud today shouting SB wow, can't hear after that, thanks! Ha ha! The depot is definitely a great place, those new trains hopefully should be out soon! What a brilliant video! Great work from you! Job well done and top class as well! I do love living in the NW, there are some great places around! When you go through a long tunnel, it definitely is strange, I know this because of the long ones near Buxton! This was fantastic, loved every single second! Where is it in this video?!... you must do more of that 'Wots in the bin' it's great, cracks me up everytime you do it! Dont think I've been to those stations in the NW. Hi G! Don't be afraid of those tunnels mate! I used to spend loads of time on Merseyrail when I was a kid (1982 mostly, I was 14 or 15!). They still had the 1938 era trains running then. The 507s had only just started there but I think they were second hand from the Southern Region of British Rail. Lols & luvs from Chris@Ulv. Mwah.

Yes, quite a few of the arches it used are still there. My late Grandad left this world in 1974 but we share the same birth date & latterly I became a railwayman. The most unfortunate thing for me was that by the time I became aware of things as a little kid, he was in a wheelchair & barely able to communicate due to Parkinsons. I'll bugger off now.

Cracking view indeed at 11:38, G. The hills in the far distance look like the Clwydian range in North Wales, with the Wirral peninsula lying in between. I think that is Moel Famau behind the lamp post and the steep sided hill in the middle of your shot is probably Moel Arthur. Great places to go walking if you ever go over there, but no TfW stations near by I'm afraid... You struck lucky to get such a clear day, and yet another great vlog :) As you say - always sunny on Merseyside!

The British rail class 507/508s look very much similar to the British rail class 313/314/315/317/455. With 313 and the 455 being third rail capable EMU's on the old southern region of British rail. I have been on a British rail class 455/7 which have a old 507 or 508 trailer place into the unit to make four coaches long and this made the mersey rail units three coaches. I have been on a British rail class 455/7 from Wokingham to Waterloo (London Waterloo). Wokingham is on the Windsor lines and on the north downs line and 32 miles from Waterloo (London Waterloo).

They could at least have got some white paint to change the Hornby road sign. Some people just take no pride in their work 🤣

Back on the trains!!! Great!!! Excellent video, entertaining as always, I’d never doubt that a video of your’s wouldn’t be :D Also, honestly, do you remember me? I am terrible at remembering names so if you do remember me quite frankly I’m impressed. Also at 1:08 what were you pointing at? Or was it a joke that I’m too naive to get haha XD One more thing, at 9:55 I think that is an attachment point for a survey pole, which can be used to make precise measurements to determine if the platform is sinking, or if any geographical changes have occurred, they are also used to measure distances for planning renovations. There a little civil engineering talk eh?
